Apple has sold 2.5 million iPhone units in India throughout 2016

Apple’s addiction is gradually increasing in the Indian smartphone market despite the global market of iPhone is considerably slowing down. Apple sold as much as 2.5 million iPhones solely in Indian market last year.

The American smartphone giant company Apple Inc. managed to witness a very positive response in the South Asian Country last year as well as claims the first position in the premium smartphone segment. The Apple’s influence is a spreading like a viral fever in India day after day as the latest statistics from Counterpoint Research showed the sale of 2.5 million smartphones.

The world market of Apple smartphones is slowing down but the statistics in India has shocked the company as the company managed to get the 10th rank in Indian smartphone ranking, during the same time period the smartphone become the leader in the premium smartphone ranking for the first time in South Asian Country by holding 62% of the Apple market share.

However, the exact sale distribution of Apple has not been revealed and this all become possible due to various strategies of Tim Cook & Co. to entice the Indian consumers.

The statistics of Indian Smartphone market of 2016 unveiled the most of the smartphones bought in India have cost $150 or less which is much lower than the price of an iPhone. Whatever, in the current market Samsung placed at first in 2016 ranking and most of the smartphones sold was of perfect and mid-range Chinese manufacturing Lenovo, OPPO and vivo.
