Top 5 Attractions and Finest Things To Do in Chicago

Things to do in Chicago

There are many great cities in the United States that are sometimes overlooked in favor of more well-known destinations like New York City, Los Angeles, or Nashville.

Chicago is a city with so much potential and is so much fun that I felt compelled to list some of my favorite attractions and top things to do in Chicago.

Walk Along Navy Pier

Chicago’s Navy Pier, known for its giant Ferris wheel and its expansive view of Lake Michigan, is a popular tourist destination.

As you stroll the length of the pier, you’ll come across a plethora of unique stores, delectable eateries, beautiful gardens, interesting seasonal displays, and time-tested attractions.

It’s just over a century old, but it’s still one of the best ways to relax in Chicago. Additionally, the fireworks displays at the Navy Pier throughout the summer months are quite spectacular. See when they’ll be having fireworks shows.

Reserve a table at 3 Arts Club Cafe, a popular and well-known eatery. The scenery is breathtaking, and the cuisine is amazing. You can apply online for an America visa for Chile citizens.

Enjoy the Cool of Millennium Park

Millennium Park, situated on the shores of Lake Michigan, is the city’s most famous and exciting park. The park was constructed in preparation for the turn of the millennium and now plays host to numerous annual events.

Check the schedule of forthcoming performances and events while you’re there, as they’re generally quite enjoyable.

Attend a concert on the Great Lawn or Jay Pritzker Pavilion to soak up some culture. Instead, you could go play some baseball at Wrigley Field (or maybe just watch for us novices).

The Crown Fountain offers a unique blend of modern amenities and traditional water park excitement, so don’t miss out on this unique attraction! Take a leisurely stroll along Chase Promenade on your way to the giant bean (technically known as Cloud Gate).

Spot the Beans

If you’re a fan of contemporary art, a visit to the Cloud Gate should be on your list of things to do in Chicago. The Cloud Gate, often known as “The Bean,” is a stunning reflecting sculpture by British-Indian artist Anish Kapoor.

As a must-see attraction in Millennium Park, Cloud Gate has become an instant symbol of Chicago. The best time to visit this area, if you want to avoid the throng, is first thing in the morning. Still, it’s a worthwhile experience regardless of the crowd size, so go whenever you can.

Chicago’s Art Institute

The Art Institute of Chicago, a stunning building, may be seen in Grant Park. An impressive establishment that has been around since 1879, making it one of the nation’s oldest (and largest) art museums.

There are more than 300,000 artifacts to examine, so plan to spend several hours or maybe days here. If you’re an art lover, this is one of the top things to do in Chicago. If you’re not into art, you might want to pass on this place.

The Chicago brunch scene begins and ends with Lou Mitchell’s (on Jackson Boulevard). It’s delicious, and it’ll put you in the mood for some sightseeing.

Shop, Eat, or Sleep: Magnificent Mile

The Magnificent Mile is the place to go if you want to find a wide variety of stores, restaurants, and entertainment options, as well as see some of the most stunning sights the city has to offer, both natural and manmade.

After all, it’s among the most well-known neighborhoods in Chicago.
